The new Apple TV launched today and here are five awesome features

THE fourth-generation Apple TV has hit the shelves and it leaves its predecessors for dust.

For those not acquainted with the previous models, it’s not actually a television made by Apple, even though that is what the name suggests.
Apple TV is a set-top box that plugs into your television via a HDMI cable and works a media streamer for all of your home entertainment needs.
The product has been built around the foundation of giving users thousands of apps to meet all of their streaming,
lifestyle and gaming requirements.
Rather than bore you with all of the specifics, we’ve compiled a list of Apple TV’s best features.
SUPER EASY TO SET UP
If all of your Apple devices are updated to iOS 9.1 you are ready.
After connecting the set top box to the television, all you need to do is tap your iPhone or iPad to the unit and it will seamlessly populate your wireless settings, your Apple ID and iCloud information directly from your device.

APPS, APPS, APPS
Apple TV comes with its own app store powered by a new tvOS platform.
It means third-party developers can easily add content to the app store offering endless possibilities for your home entertainment experience.
As it currently stands there are a number of streaming services available for download and these include apps such as iTunes Movies and TV, Apple Music, Netflix and Stan.
However, users can also find a plethora of apps for health and fitness, gaming and lifestyle.
While the range at present is limited, as time progresses you can expect to see a lot more appearing on the set top box.

Then it is just a matter entering your third-party account information for apps such as Netflix and Stan.

BAD ASS REMOTE CONTROL
The new remote control is small, thin and isn’t overloaded with mystery buttons you are scared to push for fear of changing settings.
It has been broken down with two components for navigation.
The top half contains the glass touch surface, which has been engineered to mimic the fluid navigation experienced on other Apple products.
Below the touch surface are buttons for home, volume control, pausing and playing, accessing the menu and calling Siri.

SIRI LOVES TO HELP
The new remote control comes with an in-built microphone so users can issue voice commands to Siri.
This is helpful when wanting to go directly to content without having to navigate your way through the menus.
But, Siri can do much more than that.
You can ask her to recommend movies based on genres, ratings, actors, eras, characters or cast.
She will then automatically search across popular services like iTunes and Netflix to compile you a list of choices.
