Human Rights: IGP Reads Riot Act To Police Officers

Acting-Inspector-General-of-Police-Solomon-Arase
The Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, yesterday sworn to deal decisively with any police officer found guilty of human rights abuse and professional misconduct.
Arase, who gave the warning during a working visit to the Kaduna State Police Command headquarters, urged officers and men of the command to live above board in the discharge of their duties.
He reminded the men of the Kaduna state police command that the ban on road-block was still in force, saying that the safer highways as introduced by the force should not be seen as an opportunity to extort money or brutalize motorists.
