Senate President heads to Supreme Court, trial to continue November 5

The Court of Appeal, today, October 30, 2015, dismissed the appeal of Senate President, Bukola Saraki challenging his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The Senate President is being tried by the CCT after being accused of asset declaration fraud by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
Meanwhile, the CCT will continue hearing Saraki’s trial on November 5 following the Appeal Court’s decision in its favour.

The Senate President had appeared before the tribunal on October 21 but the case was adjourned in order to wait for the Court of Appeal’s judgment.
